ZMD AG is a global supplier of high-precision sensor and wireless semiconductor solutions. Sensor ICs (ZMD SSC)

ZMD AG offers with the ZMD31xxx product family sensor signal conditioners IC, signal converters for bridge sensors that perform the functions of amplification and correction of measurement error. These products process signals from most resistive bridge sensors that are on the market. Examples of applications include measurement of pressure in industrial process technology and engineering, monitoring the pressure of brake fluid in motor vehicles and determination of the need for a filter change in washing machines.

Temperature ICs (TSic Keyvisual + TSic flyer)

ZMD's TSic family offers low-cost, calibrated, high-accuracy temperature sensor IC solutions with accuracies as precise as 0.05 degrees Centigrade. Besides offering very fast response times, the devices feature a typical power consumption of 45 micro Amps -- among the lowest in the industry -- enabling the development of innovative portable electronic products.

MARKETS SERVED

ZMD's products have been developed for specific markets. ZMD supports customers at the heart of the automotive supplier industry, such as Honeywell Sensor Systems, Bosch, ZF Lenksysteme, Siemens VDO and Hirschmann. The company understands the requirements of the suppliers, including the need for high and current qualification and 10-year supply agreements.

Leading industrial firms, such as Pepperl & Fuchs, IFM and Festo, also utilize ZMD sensor technology. ZMD is the leading supplier of ICs for the AS-Interface bus system; including ASI4U, which is inbuilt in the world's fastest AS-I analog module from Bihl+Wiedemann and SAP5, currently inbuilt in the world's smallest AS-I safety module made by Siemens.

ZMD is also at the forefront of the medical sector, with its innovative technology and long history in the area of battery-driven devices,
requiring low power and low voltage. The ASIC designed for a Siemens hearing-aid bears witness to this, with several million pieces having already been inbuilt; the IC is now in its seventh generation.
